Rollin” N the Hay “pole barn style” Barnaminium

$150/night, 2 bedrooms with Queen beds (sleeps 4), 2 full bathrooms, efficiency kitchen, washer/Dryer, gas log fireplace,  dog friendly but NO Cats, hot tub, Wi Fi with fiber optic cable, Streaming TV, AC heat pump.

Rollin N the Hay is an apartment style cabin situated over top of a horse barn. This is perfect for guests with horses. It features four stalls below the apartment, a paddock, and two additional stalls below the first barn. If you think the horses have it good, you should check out the hot tub.

Blue Ridge Trail Riding Vacation with your own horses! Located on 14 mountain acres, this is the perfect equestrian set up: 4 riders enjoy the cypress sided two bedroom apartment and 4 horses enjoy the four box stalls below. Leatherwood Mountain Resort boasts 75+ miles of mountain horse trails that traverse directly through this 14 acre property. A captivating vacation: relaxing long soaks in the hot tub after a long trail ride, unobstructed mountain views from the raised deck chairs, brilliant star lit nights from the open deck (no light pollution here!); cherished moments await in the peace and solitude of this secluded mountain barn.

Rollin N the Hay is located just off Tin Horn Road (1.6 miles from the gate) and about 1/4 mile down graveled Flag Branch Road; while trailer parking is ample, the steep grade and tight turning requires a “he-man” truck (not a wimpy truck or long rig)! Nightly board is $20 per horse, bring required shavings, hay and feed; a current health certificate from out of state horses and negative coggins for all horses is required to be shown at the Leatherwood Stables at the entrance to Leatherwood. Rollin N the Hay welcomes your other furry family members as well (pets up to 35 pounds) for a per pet fee of $50.

Rollin N the Hay feels like stepping into an “old shoe”. Warm cypress wood, stained glass panels, Frederick Remington cowboy prints, nature collections, your horses just below, and of course modern “must haves” WiFi and digital television; who could ask for more to get away from the hustle and bustle of the “real world”?
